I've noticed when I have had 10 people or now with transom ballast the e-series speed control doesn't like to get to it's set speed if that speed is 10-11 mph. It hangs up at 8-9. This isn't good for surfing because 10-11 is the sweet spot. To compensate I've been setting higher speeds, 13.5 gets me right between 10-11. It appears that the e-series doesn't want to go above a certain rpm (right around 6k). Without a fully loaded boat it hits the speed just fine, but not when maxing out the weight limit. Anyone else experience this? Have a "fix"?

Yes. It is a problem myself and others have. It seems Yamaha doesn’t want to acknowledge the issue. In my opinion it is software related. The boat can get up to surf speed if you keep pressing the +. Report it to your dealer so hopefully Yamaha can will address it.
