I would like to add Trailer Post Guide-Ons to my 2017 SX210 Galv trailer.
Problem is that I have literally 1" of clearance in my garage door (my fender sometimes even rubs it).
I had them on my last boat that was only 92" beam so they fit within the width of the trailer.
My boat is as wide as my trailer so the guides would stick out atleast another 3 or 4".

I know the PVC tubes come off but it is the 90 degree metal brackets that are the concern, It's too much work to unbolt them from the frame each time.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks! Jim

I u-bolted a pipe stub then reinforced it against side movement with pvc pipe. Guide

Looks like your leaf springs and mounting hardware are on their way to hell. Watch out!

What about cutting the tubes and theu drilling a hole with an insert and then using a pin. Like how our hitches slide into receiver on trucks

I was hoping you wouldn't notice. LOL I absolutely take that advice to heart. They are being monitored closely. I am preparing for rebuilding.
The V guides have 1¼" EMT stubs. I am going to replace those with aluminum. They have worked great for eight years but are rotting away.

That's kind of what I am thinking. I would like to use the 90 that comes with the posts, maybe get a female tube fabricated that I could slide it into ( like a trailer hitch) and put some type of pin in the 90. Or maybe use the hardware that comes with the guides and put some type of space in it so the 90 can slide in and out. The picture wreks posted does not work, that set up is only works if your boat is not as wide as you trailer, if your boat is the same width you need some type of 90 to extend the post out and than up.

Sorry. It is not noticeable on the pic but the stubs have a slight bend in them to angle out to the boat width.
