I don't want to give ideas to Yamaha engineers, who are probably not even human since the fricking AI robots are all over. But you people deserve to know.
This is the inversion of the nuts in the support of the electrical box where the starter coil is in the 2010 Yamaha 242 LS. I don't understand how they could have put the nuts on the back of the false transom. 6 uninterrupted hours of suffering to disassemble it!
Here I put an intermediate nut, (Metric hex jam nuts, Stainless steel 316 (A-4), 10mm x 1.5mm), fixing the bolt permanently to the false transom and if I ever have to replace the coil again, it will be very easy. I have to do it in the second engine too.
