Just curious, has anyone experienced an exhaust seal failure? Pulled my boat out of the water Sunday and was wiping it down when I noticed a silicone gasket hanging out of the exhaust valve. Looks like this is going to be a pita based off its location. Any advise would be appreciated.

This is normal and we've had many posts about it,

it is extra silicone from mfg that has just finally come loose and working it's way out,

a picture would confirm it,

I pulled the remaining out. Do I need to disassemble and re silicone the valve or are others here just letting it go?

my boat did this as well, it appears that the squeeze out of excess silicone gets pinched around the mating surface when they tighten the exhaust outlet to the hull. The portion that peels away is the excess peeling away. there should still be a layer that has stayed between mating surfaces despite what has fallen off.
