First boat ever.

Awesome! Congrats on a great boat and welcome to the forum!

Thanks man!!! I am looking forward to naming it.

Still trying to figure this forum out. I want to put pics of it on the media.

Welcome Aboard and great choice for a first boat!

I haven't used the media section yet, so can't really help you there, sorry. I've only posted pics in the threads like you did here. But let us know what you come up with on a name too.

Thanks I am gonna post a few more of it.

The beautiful piney woods! Glad to have you on board, update your profile with your location and it will automatically put you on the member map.

Since it's your first boat a couple of pieces of advice,
1. look at the FAQ tab at the top of the page for lots of good info
2. safety first, the water is more dangerous than it looks,
3. practice with your new boat on a calm day with no expectations of "FUN", so that when you do have passengers your past the learning curve
4. never go faster than you want to hit something
5. always take you cleanout plugs out at the end of the day
6. HAVE FUN WITH IT!

Thanks for the tips. I have put around 6 hours on it alone practicing docking and slow speed handling. It is a breeze compared to the boat I have to drive for a living. I have been looking over the forum and learning about it. Everyone on here seems to contribute very valuable info for jet boat owners, so I am excited to be a part of it.

It is a breeze compared to the boat I have to drive for a living.

Now you can't make a statement like that and not tell us what type of boat that is,

It's a 1980 model pushboat towboat
137 gross tons
1700 hp
Twin Cummings engine
63' with a 24' beam

ok, well, I guess you definitely are familiar with the water can be dangerous and never go faster than you want to hit something suggestions

Do you work the ship channel in Houston?

Spent to many night held up in Bolivar. I like to run East or West of Houston ship channel.

Welcome!! If you have any questions let us know. For posting pictures I just went to Media --> Add Media and created my own album to load everything to. Then I just click on each photo and to the right it has some links for posting thumbnails or full images. I like to use the thumbnail so it does not fill the screen.

I'm liking those FSH Deluxe more every time I see one; they look like such a perfect combo of everything. Not sure if you're interested but check out Stryker's site sometime. www.strykerttops.com I just bought some rod holders from them but they have some nice looking T-Tops for your style.
Welcome to the forum...I don't talk much on here but am on daily finding ways to spend money....lots of knowledge on here!!
