First post… I am picking up a super clean, low hour and nicely audiophiled 212x this week. I have a few questions for those that may already know.

This boat has the floor mounted swim deck table mount. Has anyone sourced a large umbrella/shade that fits the hole for relaxing time?

Has anyone mounted a trolling motor, the bow looks unfriendly to any sort of mount. I bought the boat for my family but I also enjoy lake fishing…

Do these boats have any easy performance modifications other than a ribbon delete? I know it’s already fast, but I am super handy so I just need to know.

The boat has cobra jet steering so I think the wake/splash is much less than stock. Is there a recommendation on rope length for tubing?

Any other additional shade options for when the boat is not underway? Oklahoma gets hot!

I am okay with just using random cushions, and the boat has full seadek - but are there any fitted swim deck cushions?

Has anyone installed any rod or cup/rod holders?

I’m sure I’ll come up with other questions.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I have the same boat just 2 years older.
Your boat should have a bimini attached to the tower and an extension that zips to it. We have found it sufficient for most days.
We use the standard tubing rope (60'?) and find it a bit short. The kids often get sprayed by the jets. Just be aware that as the rope gets longer it is easier to sling them further out so additional caution is needed.
There are no fitted cushions for the swim platform.
Be aware that removing the ribbon is illegal. I rarely find I need more power but, of course, your needs will differ.
We raised our kids on the boat and have a lot of memories. Right now is a bit of a lull as we wait for grandkids to get a bit older. Your family is going to have a lot of fun. Send us some pictures.

What he said. And:
- I found with some driving skill, I can sling the tube out of the wake and basically put it where I want it. So I use the standard tow rope and just do that, then run them across the wake for a nice splash. Works for me.
- Performance mods, you will find several attempted on here with some searching (L13 cones, different impellers, etc.). IMHO, though, all of the results seem to be pretty minor overall. You may pick up a few mph or get a little better hole shot, but the stock is pretty darn good. Exception: if you are at altitude (which OK is not).
- Pretty sure there are some threads on here with rod/cupholder options. I stink at fishing, so has not been on my list... same as to the trolling motor (some threads on that, too).
- Still searching for more shade myself... I have a different table holder configuration, but got a patio umbrella and put it in the table pipe on mine. Works ok, but still pretty small area. Instead I invest in sunscreen and head to deeper (cooler) water.
