FYI - under normal use, my lift bracket for the floor hatch ripped out. I'm going to try and epoxy the bracket and screws back in place. There were only 3 screws of 4 possible screws holding the bracket in place. May want to check your screws and add a 4th.

It seems Yamaha screws’ holding efficiencies are abysmal. Speakers and the swim deck platform hatch (in non-FSH models) - it is like 50% that hold... it is bad.
In some places the screw holes look like they were done by a toddler.

I know, they use robots. Maybe they use toddler robots.

At some point, if I have the time, I’m actually considering an old fashioned fix: overdrill, fill w/epoxy, redrill to fit screw size. Done.

The same thing happened to mine so I bolstered the area with a piece of starboard to help distribute the load and also used 5200 and added the 4th screw.

My guess is that's why they went to those friction hinges

Sad huh? Yamaha can't even R&D some lift supports and screws. Btw... I had the same problem, mine only had 2 screws so I moved the mounting location 1/2 inch and added the 3rd screw, all has been well since.
