We have driven by there a ton of times and wondered how it was to launch from there, it looks pretty busy most of the time, how is it at low tide?

It is not bad. We live about the same distance from that ramp, and 10th Street in Sarasota, and we pick Braden River 80% of the time. It just "feels" less stressful there. It only has 2 lanes (some people will squeeze in the middle of the two, but not very often). Docks are in need of some new cleats as well.

The channel goes right by the ramp, so the depth isn't normally a concern. I would guess you have 3ft average under the boat from the channel to the dock. During a particularly low winter tide I saw my depth gauge at 1.5 once, but we were fine. Just make 100% sure you use the channel to pass under the bridge, because you WILL run aground any other place.

It can get a little busier on the weekends, especially later in the morning (after 11 or so), but we're normally in the water by 10. When it IS busy, parking is an issue. I often see people parked along SR-64 when we come back in on the weekends.

What's your ramp of choice? I see you're in Parrish. Are you using Ft. Hammer now that they've redone it? We take a drive up the river every once in a while and its awesome up there!
