Today we're having forward and reverse thrusters installed our 2019 Yamaha AR240. Hoping this helps with pulling in and out of our dock. Our channel is a tight squeeze. Anyone else have them installed with good results?

Could you link the product you are getting installed?

Not sure, my husband handled that part. We bought the boat used and part of the deal was having them installed.

Never heard of forward and reverse thrusters. Only lateral thrusters for reverse

Probably thrust vectors (forward) and lateral thrusters (reverse).

Pretty common to confuse the terminology. These aftermarket add ons are called by so many names, it's no wonder new owners are confused easily. And lead to believe you can't live without them. As long as they appreciate what they do, once installed is all that matters.

It's a good thing we all have "forward thrusters" Those two jet pumps that Yamaha installed are pretty potent! (smile)
