Found a cooler option

Well the 40 quart cooler weighs 18.5 pounds and the pelican 20 quart cooler and weighs 16 1/2 pounds
But for twice the size cooler it is a nice trade-off. how often do you really need five days of ice retention.

That was my thoughts exactly. Last boat I paid big bucks for a cooler. Decided not to do that this go around. Just need 3 days and it seems to be able to accomplish that for only $100. That's a winner

So I didn't see this thread until now, but I too landed on the Gaintex 40 qrt after doing my own research... All I did was take the rubber feet off the bottom and it fits perfect.

Late to the party I guess, but another premium cooler option is the Orca 26qt. Smaller but it will keep ice for days... consistently out performs my yeti. Fits pretty well too...
