Galveston to lake charles

@Betik thanks, I may take you up on that offer.

I just mapped the route on Google Earth and came up with 130 miles from Kemah boardwalk to Lauberge casino following the ICW. that puts us at about 260 miles.

Kemah boardwalk to Stingaree is 26 mi (Going directly across Galveston bay)
Stingaree to Port Arthur 49
Port Arthur to Lauberge 55 mi

I'm pretty sure I can make it on fuel. But I think I'm gonna take some extra gas just to be safe.

Not sure the fuel efficiency on yours, my AR190 says it has been 75 miles and it only took about 20 gallons to fill back up. With a 40 gallon tank. I should have no problems making those stretches. I should be able to make it to port Arthur with no issue.

I have a 30 gallon tank. I've been around 70 miles in it before refueling. I'm sure it'll make it.

I think I've got it figured out. I plan on leaving out of kemah on the 27th at around 9am. It's about a 6 hour ride, so that should put us in lake charles around 3ish. Going to depart from kemah and head to stingares in bolivar to refuel, then it's off through the icw to port Arthur where I plan on taking a break and refueling. From there it's on to lake charles. I plan on staying at the l'auberege du lac casino for the night. They have a beach bar, plenty of restaurants and of course a casino (which is how I plan on paying for this trip). Then the next day I plan on leaving lake charles around 11ish with the same route in reverse.

I know it's still a ways off. I like to plan early. But if you're interested in going hit me up.

We will see how things go with the Chicago to St. Luis run, but as of right now we are planing on joining you. Possible do a one way trip and head of lake charles

We are getting real close to the 60 days mark and I hoping to hear what the status is with everyone. Delong how many vessels we are, we might want to start organizing.
For example I will remove my anchor from the boat and have it shipped to lake Charles and I guess @Rick215HO will probably tape his windshield as a precaution.

After doing a bit of research theres a motel 6 on contraband bayou that is considerably cheaper. You have to dock up on the bulk head. The reviews aren't that great on it. But it's another option. It's the Inn on the Bayou.

Man wish this was the weekend before or after the 27th... we usually just hang out at local lakes, would love to do this... will see if is a must to attend this Gala on the 27th. Keeping fingers crossed!

If going to bimini has crossed your mind, you might want to seriously consider this trip. It makes a good intro....

I’m making a trip to Bahamas this summer. I’ve done it before in a larger boat, but I bought a scarab 255 HO in October and I’m wanting to make a trip to lake Charles to get a better feel for the boat. Fuel burn, ride etc... Let me know when y’all go I’d like to join!

April 27th are you in ?

I kind of wanted to run the ski with you guys, but depending on how the weather looks like I might need to jump boat ( literally).
When do you want me to let know by for booking a seat ?

Not sure what @B0at1n is doing. He was thinking on making a run was trying to budget out for it; it think don’t recall.

@Rick215HO will probably join since it is on his bayard. And trust me we want his boat. That thing is loaded with navigation equipment as it was going to circumvent the South Pole

@Betik dude the seats there if you need it. I'll only have 2 people in my boat so your good no matter what. As long as you can drink some cold beer. That and I'll be needing you to bring some ouzo.lol

LOL a family here in Dallas ( native Texan) tells me that I am the only redneck European that he has ever seen. I will be more worried about the decibel level, than the type of music, but then again Bose quite comfort might rescue me.

Although now that I think about it, even if I m on the ski I will be able to hear what you are playing :winkingthumbsup"

It looks like I am out.
The other driver in the house had a fructure last week and while it seemed he would be okay by the end of April ..... it turns out that he needs surgery on his angle. Anticipated down time 3 to 4 months.

Will miss you
