Good deal on a Chaparral vortex 203

Hi folks,

Looking at buying a 2018 Chaparral vortex 203.

1. Is that a good boat and engine?
2. Is 40,000$ CAD a good price?

I looked around on a few sites and I'm not finding any 2018, so hard to compare.

If you are planning on buying a Vortex, just check around to make sure you can find someone to service the engine, as
I believe Chaparral dealers no longer will.

Did you end up buying it? i got a 2019 VRX 203 for 32k midsummer with only 80 hours.

The engine is regular Rotax used by Seadoos as well and very easy to work on, plenty of parts in the market.

I understand this, but the problem is many jet ski dealers will not work on boats and many Chap owners have reported this is a very real problem they have had.

I understand now, I do my own maintenance so I do not rely on dealers but as for parts they are ready available even all the gears to rebuild the supercharger are out there as a kit saving you hundreds of $$$.

Is it true that the new super chargers on the BRP seadoos aren't even servicable?

My understanding is they no longer need a rebuild at xxx hours. I was never able to find out, however, what the new life expectancy is with the newer superchargers.

There is a supercharger rebuilt kit available from Greenhulk it comes with all the gears and shaft. The clearances on these gears are to small that eventually you will not get the same performance over time. I believe is recomended at 100 hrs.
