Lake Lanier is at a new record level. Going to be a lot of debris floating around this spring. Im hoping my batteries aren't shot when the power to the dock comes back on.

Same story here all this month. Dams are trying to keep up but we've had record rainfall along with everyone else in the south. Now it's cold as hell again but supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Lots of flooding in our area and the ground is so waterlogged it can't hold spit without flooding lol. We had another 3" last night and so ready for this crap to stop.

A few pics from dams and lakes in the state this month...

Wow - I have seen that at Allatoona and at our lake house at Hartwell.

The Atlantic ocean is still at the same level. ;) Well here, there is an 8+ foot tide.

I saw Lake Hartwell, last week. Lots of docks unable to float above the water level.

They are somehow keeping west point just under full pool but the river is out of its banks down here.

We had an all time record almost exactly a year ago at Lake Cumberland.
In the last couple weeks it has come up 30 feet but still has 23 more feet to go to tie the record.
Welcome to a flood control reservoir.

I guess there is some benefit to being in the frozen north. We get at least 4 months out of the year with no worries about flooding.

Hoping it has the same effect the rain did last year on Cumberland. Probably one of the cleanest the lake has been early in the season since it washed out a lot of debris.

How it feels in Bama lately :D
