This is a replacement cover for Yamaha part number F2D-U8K1L-00-00 also known as SANAV part number GM-88U.

It is a new design that includes an optional external seal. If you do not wish to use the external seal it is recommended to use silicone caulk to seal between the plastic case sections and around the heads of the screws. It is printed from PETG plastic which should hold up well to sun exposure and resist impact.

I have not received any complaints about fading of the colored GPS covers. I have white and green structural pieces that have been on my garden fence for 3+ years that have not changed in color or strength. The color is dye in the plastic itself not a top coating.
