Are you talking about the bearing that is part of the pump? Mine has a tube located on the back of the motor that has a zerk fitting. I have a California boat also.

Yes exactly. Ok so there’s fitting up top with a hose that feeds to the bearings. I just found a picture in another thread. Sorry to waste anyone’s time.
There is a lot of talk about how to fill the bearing. Its tough. I did mine very slowly with a grease gun. My hose to the bearing housing actually came off the bottom zerk fitting as I was filling the bearing. The theory is that the tube behind the motor to the bearing has grease in it and that grease may have hardened. Gentle pressure on the grease gun is the best way to go.
