Happy Veterans Day ????

Agreed, thank you to all for your service!

It's worth saying the Veteran spouses deserve a hand as well! Being the spouse of an active duty person is a whole different standard of living. Every time a hurricane threatened the East coast I would kiss my wife goodbye and wish her good luck because we would sail our ship off the coast out of harms way until the hurricane passed. It was a real fucked up feeling.

We had 3 under the age of 7 when I got to my first base. It was a difficult feeling saying goodbye when duty called especially knowing what my wife would be left with during my absence(s). I will be forever grateful for the base and military spouse support networks that helped lift her and my family up during these times! Thanks for bringing spouses into light in this discussion as well. And thanks for your service to all Veterans!

Great thread, thank you to all those that are serving and have served!!!

Thanks to all and yes the spouses have a hell of a job!
