Hauling a Boat. Need Advice

Just wondering. I have 15 bags of Bentonite in the back of my truck, on a pallet, sitting very close to the tailgate. That adds another 750lbs of weight. My truck can trailer 7klbs so I have plenty of head room for the weight. Would it be beneficial to leave the bags in my truck to stabilize the weight of the boat whose engine is in the back. From hauling several uhauls you learn quickly that all the heavy items need to go in the front by the tongue of the trailer or the trailer becomes very unstable at highway speeds. I'm also would rather leave them in my truck until I'm ready to use them in my leaky pond. Bet this questions is a first. :)

Take the extra stuff out.

Trailer will be setup with proper tongue weight (or at least adequate tongue weight) from the factory. Don't need to "offset" anything.

If anything, less stuff on the car gives you a greater margin of safety with your power and braking, so you are way better off with less weight overall if you can help it (Don't load extra stuff for sure)

The wiring connector on the trailer might be a 5 pin inline connector. My Expedition from the factory has a 4 pin inline and a 7 pin round. I needed to get an adapter to go from the 7 to a 5 pin. My boat is a 16 212x, I would think that shore lander trailer for a 19 ft might be the same, or worth checking on the connector before you get there to make sure you have what you need. And congrats on the new boat if you pull the trigger. We have enjoyed ours.
