So I was an idiot and un did the power to safety switch on clean out plug. When taking cover off to install new transducer.

One of the small pins fell into the abyss and I csnt find it.

Any idea on on where I might be able to locate another one or need to purchase all new unit?

Woohoo this idiot found it. Thanks JBF!

While we are at it... what do yall thing about putting the transducer right where my stock depth gauge was?
My other thought was right next to exterior drain plug??

@Bruce I saw your post from 2014 and you removed and replaced your new transducer where the stock speedo was on sx230 it appears?

Would you make any changes to that setup if you were doing it today?

@Wisefam22, my transducer is in the factory transducer location which is opposite the speedo sensor. I am happy with that location. A through hull transducer in front of the pump intakes would be better but also much more expensive.

Thanks @Bruce ya thru hull didnt come with my garmin. I was planning on just taking off the origin transducer for depth and install chart plotter there.

Have it all taken apart now just need to put it back together hopefully tomorrow.
