Hi everyone I just bought 2021 Yamaha AR190 with 22hrs! Exhaust question

My question is there is what looks to be hard water buildup on exhaust side of jet pump is this normal? see attached photos previous owner never did a flush could that be the causing this? Is something wrong?

Did the boat sit in water?

I don’t think so it only shows up on exhaust side.

I am really not sure. Was it fresh water? Maybe he just never cleaned the boat?

my first boat so not sure what’s normal. He admitted that he never flushed out engine. Im guessing he never cleaned that area at least I hope that’s all it is..

Have you tried simply cleaning it?
