Should I just buy the SaltAway hose end mixer, or is there a better one that I can get in a short amount of time? I tried searching Amazon, but I'm coming up empty?! Any suggestions / links are appreciated.

Are you using this for just salt away and are you using just to flush the engine? When flushing with salt away I just pour some down the hose then connect the hose to the flush point and turn the water on and let it go. If I'm using to clean the boat I use a spray bottle and spray salt away at the points I want and let sit for a few min then rinse. I even spray the engine compartment and let sit then rinse.

Huh! I'll be darned. Very clever. How come no one ever posted on that simple trick???

I have tried using a small funnel to squirt some SaltAway into the flash ports... Did not work very well, go figure. So - I have been using the mixer.

Thanks, @robert843, you just made me feel real dumb! :D
Love that trick. Thanks for sharing.

EDIT:
I would still use the mixer at least once in a while, but that hose trick is great!

The problem with the "pour it down the hose" method is you get a short burst of Salt Away for a few seconds, then just water which washes away the PTFE protectant the Salt Away is suppose to leave behind. A mixer allows about 7 minutes of flushing allowing the product to properly do its job.

I've used the Salt Away mixer for six seasons, exclusively in salt wster, with no problems.

Yes but its an intense short burst over 100 hours of salt water use with that method no issues either. Not really sure how it works but I will still get foam coming out of the exhaust for a few min using the pour down the hose method. Not saying the mixer isn't great but when you dilute the salt away you also dilute its effects but you will get a much longer run using the mixer.

I think it’s @Cobra Jet Steering LLC that does the dawn dish soap down into the flush port. He has good luck and runs a ton of salt water hours.

But to the OP I use the one that came with my salt terminator kit and had it for three seasons now with only one issue. I had the female end seperate for the hose inlet, but just PVC glued it back and it has been great since.

I made a coupler on a pigtail about 8 inches long, I hook up the pig tail to the flush port then I put the soap in the end of the pigtail before I hook the quick release to the hose. I also have a on/ off control on the hose end that connects to the pig tail. I start the engine then turn on the hose , watch the soap exit the nozzle and exhaust, it runs a few minutes and when the soap stops coming out I turn off the water and then the engine and remove the pig tail and cap off the flush fitting. You can use dish soap or car wash soap. I have 550 hours on my skies now and others have had over 650 hours , I always do the same thing.
