Double back to my post from yesterday and that is exactly what I did. Here is a photo of the setup I used on my 2022 SX195.

Did the OP have a brain fart? I am not sure what the issue is here.

The back of your boat. If you're going to insist on defeating an important safety mechanism, I would do so in a way that prevents accidental engagement, like a keyed switch to bypass the plunger.

And the key should be your ignition key…

Thanks for the replies and ideas all... to the comments about safety, I completely understand your concern and they are valid, but I also have 1000% confidence my ability to not do something as stupid as start the engine with the clean-out plug removed, much less stick my arm down there if the engine were running. Yes, I could have just extended the hose a bit so that it extends out of the channels on the sides as well, but I already have multiple flush fittings and am trying to avoid having a bunch of janky fittings to deal with when I hook it up. Above all that, lately I've been dabbling in digital design/fabrication, and saw this as a challenge to create something that I saw as a problem (and buy a faster 3D printer while I'm at it :) ).

I did actually find the correct thread size, it's a metric M16-1.5, and modeled up what I wanted and tested it today, worked great. I do think, however that if Yamaha intends on that hatch being closed, they should have at least included a flush fitting long enough in the first place without having to DIY something. I briefly considered posting my model on Thingiverse, but reconsidered given its intended use :)

Thanks again for the input!

Lol... the issue has been covered to death in the thread... the issue is that the flush adapter that Yamaha provides is too short to extend past the closed hatch lid, forcing you to DIY something to do engine flushes. I'm not a dumbass, I just made my own solution.

There is a slot for a hose…. Not sure what the issue is.

I did not think you would be careless to the point of personal harm. My thoughts went along the path of breaking something on your boat. Like accidentally closing the hatch with the cap on the switch and possibly damaging the hatch or switch.
Yamaha does offer a different flush adapter. https://www.boats.net/product/yamaha/MWV-FLUSH-HS-BL?msclkid=194b370c4abc1b5795fb52968c19d4c3&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=TNT_Shopping - Standard - All&utm_term=4581046489940460&utm_content=Standard Products
