I'm considering keeping my boat in a slip next year and buying an airdock or v-lift. The slip would be a floating finger lift with a boat next to mine. This might be a stupid question, but how do you get the cover on if you have a towered boat?? I can't think of how you'd get the velcro sides attached that open for the tower legs and then also the plastic clips on the side opposite of the pier. It doesn't look like you have room to walk on the v-lift. Maybe you can on the airdock but I think your chances of falling off are pretty high.

When I take the cover off I undo the Velcro and straps and then start at the back and fold it up in increments till I get to the bow. When I put it back on I start at the bow and keep unfolding it towards the back and then I redo the velcro and clips.

I dont know much about the airdocks but you would have room to put walking boards like this on a hydrohoist type boat lift.

I can't walk around my boat while it's on the slip. I always back in so I just step on the swim platform from the dock. Since my slip is covered, I only cover the boat to keep birds from crapping in it and curious people from walking onto the boat (at least it would be harder if they wanted too) I use the snap on bow and cockpit covers that came with my boat, not the trailing cover. But I bet you could reach the clips around the tower legs and snap them on from inside the boat as you walk back. If your slip isn't covered, you'll need to put up the anti-pooling poles to keep rain from puddling, that might be a PITA.

The front tower legs are beneath the windshield. Way too low to lean over from inside and do the Velcro and snaps. The rears might be possible, but I'm not even sure about that.
