Hi/Dri called and told me that there was fiberglass damage to my boat. It is all above water by the anchor case, but the fiberglass is showing in one or two spots. There is also one scratch on hull gelcoat to the orange undercoat. Taking to Yamaha to get estimate for repair. Hi/Dri owner says it is cosmetic and his guy will do cheaper for the people there that got damage, but I am concerned that if I don't get it repaired by Yamaha I will have trouble trading in at some point and I want the Yamaha repair bill to show it is up to spec. Thoughts? Still owe more than it is worth, so I am in for a while...

Your local marina's fiberglass guy will repair the boat so much better than the dealer who can barely find guys to wrench on their boats....trust me.

If you are worried about proving the quality of repair, have them take before, during and after pics.
