Hi, new jet boat community. Just got my 08 230 HO for some family fun and stripped my port impeller shaft already. I’ve had a mr1 jetski for many years, which is why I went with this boat, but curious to know if you think my extra impeller and shaft marked 6B600 would sufficiently replace the current oem one that states 6P600?

sufficiently replace

Glad to have you on board,

sufficiently replace and what is acceptable to you is the key factor,

I'm also not sure if the shaft length is the same.

the impeller will of course work and occasionally we have a member find a previous owner had the wrong impellers in, it's just a matter of how much performance is lost,

I'm curious as to what and how is stripped on the impeller?

.

Thanks for the response. For my style riding, which is cruise at 30 mph to get to the sand bar, is sufficient for me.
The splines of the impeller shaft are what’s stripped. I had an identical shaft with the other prop on there, both 19 splines and exact same length. Based on my measurements going to roll with it, but am curious to know if you feel like the inner splines of the female end may be mangled as well? I can’t see in there, but I did attempt to insert it and it turned just a little bit, which I assume was the give in the coupler, or would you believe that play is related to mangled inner splines? Won’t be pulling any more skiers until I know for sure

The difference in impeller part numbers maybe to distinguish The port from the starboard impeller, they have different pitches. What is the part number of the undamaged impeller? I they should be different from but close to each other. See the attached screenshot.

The number on my stock, port side impeller is “6P600”, which does seem to match your screen shot. The spare impeller I’m planning on installing is “6B600” from on 08 yami FX jet ski.

I would use it as a bandaid to get through the season, if I didn’t see any performance loss keep it as is. If there are performance issues replace it or repitch it or them to factory spec during the next off season.
