Intake grate covers

anyone have any tips or know of a product I can use to cover my intake grates while storing the boat? Birds seem to think this is a great spot to make a nest.

Are they entering from grate or the nozzles. Because you might be able to store in reverse if its the latter

You could stuff a cat up there...Or, cut a couple of 1/4 inch plywood panels and attach them to the intake grates with a couple of threaded J hooks.

I use painters tape to cover items like that during winter storage.
