With the wife, three girls and a female Chihuahua at home, I am severely outnumbered. So...why not add another female dog to the mix (6 to 1). After losing our Golden a while back, we decided our Chihuahua really needed a companion. We found this sweet girl at a local shelter. She was scared to death there and was in trouble for lashing out. That is a quick way to a death sentence in the shelters and it sounds like she was close to that when we first saw her. When we expressed interest, the staff worked very hard with her for over two weeks so we could bring her home. We are so grateful for their effort to give her a fair chance. We finally brought her home today and she is super sweet and seems very happy. When she is fully acclimated to us, we look forward to seeing how much she likes the boat!
