I've gone to the deep dark side, please don't ban me bro!

@Andy S
Congratulations on a beautiful Boat!!

I wish you were in TX or I was in SC so you could give me a ride on it! It looks nice

Very nice looking boat, I was actually looking at Cobalt as well before I found my 232 Limited S, I'm very interested on your feed back as well.

In my case coming from a stern drive, it's taking me a little while to get used to the jet drives in a busy lake with lots of cross wind.

That is indeed a beautiful boat @Andy S ! No worries, your one of us no matter how you row your boat! Congrats and do one of your nice write ups!

Great boat @Andy S. Will I get a chance to see it in Bimin? If so, I bet you'll love the ride over as you watch the jet boats bounce, and bounce, and bounce...

Yes, you'll get to see it in Bimini.

Today on the lake it was pretty rough and the Cobalt handle like a dream, very noticeably smoother than the sporty Yamaha. The wife loves the ride and is confident she can survive the trip there and back.

I'm going to use your design to help putting the bimini boot on, if i don't i need 4 hands.

Gorgeous. But we sure don't want to lose your brain trust. Your mechanical knowledge of the Yamaha's is needed around here.

Since the powers that be is letting me stay, I hope to able to help out for years to come, this group is to good to leave.

Do you feel naked with only one motor?
It feels like my 2 4 cylinder motors merged into one, I still have 8 plugs to change, and the motor went through puberty, no more high pitched wine now a deep rumble.

:)Now that is funny.

Yes sort of, the model is R5 and actual length is 25' 8" not sure why Cobalt didn't round up like other manufactures.
They didn't round up to save you the hassle of owning a yacht. Anything 26 foot or bigger is a yacht and has more legal requirements. Nice boat by the way!!!

Absolutely Gorgeous boat. Congrats!

Me and the wife have been talking - our next boat will be a Cobalt or a Bryant.

Gorgeous! You gotta follow your passion. You'll still find your buddies drinking around the keg (aka - visiting the forum)

I have always admired Cobalt, I just had to laugh at their "why props are better than jets" video a few years back and their comments on underwater obstacle avoidance. If you saw it you would understand.

Happy wife, happy life...
