I know this has been a topic multiple times but I was wondering if anything new has come to light on cleaning the aluminum pumps. I was going to blast them with walnut shells but I just learned these are anodized. Hindsight I should have made this a winter project.

A lot better but not perfect using vinagar, water, dish soap and a lot of elbow grease.

This thread is a bit old but I'm hoping that you are still on the site Richard. When you say the pumps are annodized after referencing using walnut to blast...it seems that you are indicating that it is not a good idea to blast? Can you or anyone else expand on that? I work on ALOT of Waverunners every year and have the same ugly pump issues. I just bought a 2007 SX230HO and I would like to clean up the look of it as well. Is there an issue with using media to blast these pumps?
