Bimini lost power today as the early departing group (group 1) for tomorrow was trying to get fuel. Group 1 led by me thanks to @Bruce nomination will depart as soon as we have 6-8 boats fueled up hopefully around 7:30am now that we have power back and three of us are tied up at the fuel dock right now to be first in line. Group 2 will be led by @Water Girl.

Group 1 will have a brief captains meeting at the fuel dock as the last boats are fueling up. Conditions are favorable so we should hit the turning basin in Ft Lauderdale around 9:30 to 10 if all goes as planned.

Tonight we had a pizza party sponsored by Rentals at Bimini Sands (@biminibrad) followed by a group photo, swimming into the night, deep conversation and a first hand ghost story from the haunted lighthouse. Much better photos and the group photos will come later.

Hope everyone has a great return crossing tomorrow. My family is targeting Thursday as a return date.

Any progress report for Groups 1, 2 returning?

WHat are the conditions in the stream?

--

Seems that someone is getting closer traveling at 26mph

I looks like the first group arrived

I see JT was doing ~23mph with some stops near Ft Lauderdale for the weeds. I figured it must have been a little tougher than the ride over. Honestly though, 25mph is a nice pace.

Compare to going there .... anything will look bumpier. Amid all logistical nightmare we had a VERY FORGiVING water going there. Has we made this many stops in 2017 we have kept the USGC bussy big times

It was rough. We racked up some frequent flier miles and won’t need any salt in our diet for a while. The forecast was way off.
