Big shout-out to @ThatJeepGuy for giving it all he had for the whole crossing. His 190 was WOT all the way, and I think that his intakes were out of the water more than they were in the water. @SFThoen and crew were a rock-solid team from start to finish, and I really appreciated having them in our group. Well done guys. Sorry that Jim and crew did not make it; through the limited radio communications, it seemed like they were faced with one problem after another, and unfortunately, our group was forced to move on due to the weather that was forecasted to be chasing us. I felt uncomfortable with the situation in that we were so far behind the other groups (well outside of radio communication), so our group targeted 30 mph for the crossing, but 24 to 25 would have been much better. We didn't slow down until we were about 6 miles out.
We decompressed at Honeymoon Harbour and had some lunch before checking into our condo.
Our crew is feeling better today.
Yesterday's crossing was great. The water was choppy but smoother than 2014 and so much better than 2015.
@chris24 and @MrMoose, thank you very much for leading your groups over.
The wind is up and the water around North Bimini is too rough for boating today. My family is planning to head to North Bimini around 11 to explore the island and have lunch at a conch shack. If you are reading this and would like to please join us.
The winds are supposed to die down a little tomorrow. Depending on their direction it may be w good day to snorkel the reefs of North Bimini or if the direction changes we may want to go to the plane crash South of South Bimini Island.
By Wednesday the wind and waves should have calmed enough for our potluck at Honeymoon Harbor. My family is planning to go to Big Game Club for live music and likely dinner Wednesday evening.
Thursday and Friday have good forecasts for wind and waves so they should be great days for boating around the islands.
Wow. Was there a lot of pounding coming off the waves at 30mph? Or was the period great enough that you just rode the swells without a lot of pounding?
How was the ride for @DieselCamel ? I've been eyeballing that same cat for two years wondering if it's worth it to go that route for the next boat.

The waves were tightly spaced as they are forecast to be for our return crossing. 25 was pretty pleasant. 30 was starting to get painful. My groups crossing speed was between 24 and 28.
@MrMoose's group had a delayed start. I was very happy that they arrived as quickly as they did. If the window of relatively calm seas had closed on them they would have been caught in unreasonable conditions for our boats.

World Cat did great only had about "4 pounds" on the crossing. Obviously you still get the up and down motion and side to side but smooth if that makes sense. Definitely the best ride available for any 23 footer. 25-28MPH seems to be the sweet spot for comfort.
we spend allay on N. Bimini met some great people from marathon just made it back to the room. Dark & Stormy was flowing in great abunance at the Big Game Docks.
