To all,
I was thinking of taking the family for a day of boating, tubing, and beaching on Lake Houston. I have never boated there before. So I don't really know much about the best boat ramps to use (I have 2021 Yamaha 210 FSH Deluxe) OR the best sandy areas to beach the boat and enjoy the day. I tried searching on the forum for this info but couldn't find it. And I have searched on Google for a bit but can't really find the information I wanted based on what I want to do.
What we want to do is launch on a low/no-cost boat ramp that isn't too far away from a sandy shore line that I can pull the boat up and setup a site for the day. Are there many sandy shorelines that one would call a "beach" on Lake Houston? Preferably, I would want to stick to a boat ramp closer to hwy 1960 but I am open to driving to a ramp that is close to the beach location.
Also, I would like to know any restaurants/bars that we could dock our boat at to eat as an alternate thing to do instead of beaching.
Or, if anyone else has other info on Lake Houston that I haven't thought of (like different ideas on boating there besides beaching) then I am open to those and they are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
