Anyone have anything like this pole with your boat line on it? Looks like a good idea.

I have something maybe similar. It's a telescoping pole with a hook on the end.
I like how the rope is hooked to this one though.

I agree. But, my girlfriend is tired of missing the dock when she jumps out and getting wet. Maybe I should stop going into hard reverse when she's jumping.
I was thinking just a boat hook would work. This item in the pic is about $70.

Which is the reason why the hook remains unused...unless it's being used to fish my hat out of the water. Most lost article off the boat...

Some reason I think you can say "and that is how the fight started" I would be dead, I get blamed enough for everything else as is

Those are nice on higher freeboard cruisers like what's in the picture.

The key to hooking the cleat without a pole is to hold both bitter ends in the left hand and toss the big loop on the other side of the cleat with each rope end coming around opposite sides of the cleat. After it lands on the dock, pull the dock line tight...boom you're on the cleat.

I need to shoot some video of how I can tie a cleat from 8' above the dock with 1" dock line. Yeah, I'm bragging a little but you need to do this when running yachts. It's like a rodeo!

I'll probably rig up something of my own. My GF isn't really that adept at jumping out, no, I don't really dunk her. If we were married, I'd have motive for the reverse move.:D But I saw the loop thing today in a yacht magazine and it got me thinking it would be helpful.

We use a telescoping Boat Loop pole (aka limb saver):
http://www.amazon.com/The-Boat-Loop/dp/B00IASXEG6/

You can use the loop to "pull" the boat in, or the rubber stopper to push it off/out. Really useful on windy days.
$79 to $149, DAMN DANIEL! Seriously, the loop device in the first post has been around for years, if I got anything Like it I'm sure it would get about the same amount of use as my telescoping hook, almost none, just takes up space in the ski locker.
