I'm getting tired of my grey deluxe mooring cover that's just a year old leaking after a rainstorm. All my carpet in the bow storage compartments get soaked. Does anyone have a solution for this?
You will need to waterproof it every few years. I get a gallon of it and use a pump sprayer to apply it.
Once you dont see water beeding up on it its time to treat it.
I do all my lawn furniture cushions at the same time
Same hear. Yamaha mooring cover started with minor leaks after first year. Reproofed mine with 303. With regard to wet carpets you may want to consider replacing them with SeaDeck. Looks great, comfortable and doesn't hold water.
@NewBoater you should not spray the 303 onto the cover while it is on the boat. The 303 is caustic to vinyl before it has cured. Once the cover has completely cured/dried it is safe to put the cover back on the boat (and the various vinyl seat tops etc that it rests on while installed).
