Led lights interior install

Installing LEDs. So far a huge pain in my ass. But, also amazing. 5 hours so far, lots of learning and error and trial and error. Now I got it down. I just turned them on now that's it's dark and they are simply amazing. Can't imagine night boating without them now!! More to come.

Very cool. Showed my wife a few of the LED light threads and she was like "we don't really boat at night"......I replied with, "Well, that's just something we'll have to remedy now, isn't it."

Looks nice so far. The key is to put it in places where it doesn't shine directly on stuff and rather to let the light be diffused in a broad area. Your pic shows dead on perfect indirect LED lighting.

If you must install it directly next to a cushion or something that will reflect the LEDs you should cover the strip with a diffuser. A diffuser is a piece of opaque plastic that takes the reflection away.

Ha! $180 bucks for the kit. Guess that's the price you pay for ease. I paid 20 bucks shipped.

I just finished my install. No kit. Other than the fact it was an unusual 85 degrees this week in Ohio and I was sweating my a$$ off, the installation went well and looks good. Sure I learned a few things along the way, sweat a lot, and cussed a little, but I spent next to nothing and it looks nice. Eager for the next break in the weather to take some pics.
