Hello all,
I am looking for the pinout/ wiring diagram for connext screens. It looks like the 7, and 12.3 all have the 40 pin connector. If anyone has a schematic or just a few pictures from different angles that show the labels on the wires it would be a great help.

Thats top secret Yamaha info I have never seen any schematics for these boats. You may want to put the year and model in case someone can leak the info. They seem to change them every few years analog switches would last 100 years these crap screens last about 10 to 15 if your lucky

Someone needs to sue Yamaha to open up the connext schematics to proper aftermarket screens can become available.

Thank you both for your replies. I am looking for the pinout for any of the recent years. From the little research Ive done I believe the pinout is the same or close. I have seen from some pictures on line that the wires are labeled. If I had a few pictures showing the pin location, and the wire label (similar to below) we could easily figure out a wiring diagram/ schematic for the connext.

What is the end goal? While a lot of wires are straight forward like audio signal and 12v +/-, the others are mostly data and a mixture of NmEA2000 and J1969.

An hour or two with a DMM and you should be able to identify a lot of wires but not necessarily what the data wires do.

We have some of our own schematics that we drew up from testing but for our business interests those remain with us.

Thanks for your input. This is currently just research. With enough information I think retro fitting a newer screen into an older boat is a possibility.

It's no secret at all. It's documented in the service manual, and you can buy it YAMAHA MANUAL STORE. The drawing is far too large to post here, and you also need the reference documents in the manual. IMG_7624.jpegIMG_7624.jpeg IMG_7625.jpeg

Thanks for the clarification, it looks like you have newer revision. The display I have access to is from a 2019 with a 40 pin single connector.

You will need a CAN decoder to do so, and some pretty good experience working with them.... but it is possible. It is in on our long-term roadmap.

I am attempting to read the canbus with a Peakcan device with poor results, however I am not even sure I have the High and Low of the same bus. If i had this pinout it would be a good start to this project.
