I am experiencing very loud vibration when accelerating. Is this cavitation or can it be something else?

Nothing in the clean out area now. I had a rope sucked in last year and it started happening after that. Are you able to get full power and speed... if not check your cleanout... you may have sucked something up.
Yes I have full power and speed. Are you able to get full power and speed... if not check your cleanout... you may have sucked something up.
I would get under it and look in the intake grates or pull the pump, I assume something is stuck in there somewhere.. You can check if the impeller shaft seems loose too by reaching down in through the port and trying to wiggle it but I doubt that is the issue!Nothing in the clean out area now. Just did, nothing loose everything looks fine.I would get under it and look in the intake grates or pull the pump, I assume something is stuck in there somewhere.. Just checked my oil level was slightly low, I added another half a quart. The noise has subsided a lot. Could the low oil level be the culprit? Do these engines eat oil?Rope may have damaged the intermediate bearing, check the alignment of that or it may have bent the drive shaft slightly.
Half quart below the minimum line.I have never had to add oil in between yearly oil changes. Was it a half quart below the minimum line, or half quart below the full line. If the latter then that is not an issue.
