I would look at your tower mounting points and see if they are close to an OE tower. If they are close you might be able to get away with a Yamaha cover otherwise maybe bow/cockpit covers would be easier.
@Sx240 1) looks like you have snaps for the bow and cockpit covers, you don’t have them? That would be your best bet. 2) I think you were looking at the Bimini for sale on this site, that may not work with the bar you have.
Here's a stock photo of a 2012 242, which is what I have. The premium yamaha cover fits it perfectly. It looks like your tower braces are closer together though. See what you think. I see you have snaps. Maybe the the bow/cockpit covers is the way to go.
It looks like my braces are closer together and the front is more forward thanks for the picture I just recently bought the boat it does have snaps on the bow but Yamaha said that they don’t make a bow cover for it the cockpit has snaps to except at the back it has posts for I’m guessing loops
You’d have to get custom bow/cockpit covers made. At one time it had them due to having the snaps. Yamaha does not offer it for any model I’m aware of.
Maybe look into what Big Air has to offer. Yamaha changed the Bimini design in 2013. Made me wish I had held out for a later model. I love the boat though.
The bow cover and cockpit covers for the entire 240/242 line should be the same from 2010-2014. our covers on our 242, do not even come close to the tower points. So yes, they are interchangeable. Good choices, but I don't know if I would tow with them. Mine came with poles. But I think I would put a ski tube up in the bow under the bow cover to help support it evenly and not stress the snaps.
I have a 2021 212S and had the dealer install YAMAHA snap on bow and cockpit snaps/cover prior to picking it up. I think that Yamaha would have them for your year and model.

It's not really a matter of if they do. They did. We have found that they don't produce them anymore since the hull changed in 2015, and again now for 2022. Finding new-old stock is the way to go. And the second question is if they will work with his third party tower.
It may just get to the point that you would be money ahead to go to a tarp/cover shop local to you and have them make a custom cover for you. As you may spend the same if not less going OEM and then modifying it.
+1 to the compatibility of bow covers between SX/AR 240/242s of this vintage. Of note the bow cover came in multiple colors, so there were multiple part numbers (and snaps/no snaps). Interestingly the AR240 and SX240 had different cockpit covers with the 242 using the same as the AR. I’m not really seeing why that is, maybe they strap over the bars? So I’d be cautiously optimistic and agree with @biffdotorg.
More importantly, if the prior covers weren’t OEM then your snaps could be in the wrong places. (Replacement cover are usually the “no snaps“ models to prevent that even when replacing the same cover.) Worse case if you buy a set of OEM bow and cockpit covers and they don’t work out for you, someone on here will buy them from you.

This is correct. The "mooring covers" were different from AR to SX or 242LS to 242S due to the tower. The snap on covers were the same for all 240/242 series, as they snapped down around the bow and around the windshield and didn't come in contact with the tower mounts.
I bought my 242 with the bow cover missing. And I was lucky as it was the OEM that was missing, so I was able to buy a new-old-stock bow cover and snap it right one. I will do the same with the cockpit cover when it fails.
if having one made, then you would do a full mooring cover that would come down around the rub rail. No snaps needed. But if having a snap on cover maid, then it would matter if you had snaps already installed. As you would not have them from the factory. I hope that makes sense.
We use the mooring cover for storage and towing, and the snap ons for on the lift under the canopy.
@biffdotorg I would love to see a pic of your cockpit cover from the backside. It is very difficult to find good pics. There are so many generic shots and many are of 19x or 21x boats. Some show the cover ending before the swim platform and others show it covering it. I’ve kicked around getting these for awhile, but I’m not sure if I want snaps, even though these covers were part of what I like about bowriders.
