I am getting a leak around the oil filter so I pulled it early (was going to wait until spring). I run either a pl14612 or slightly longer pl14610. Both Purolator One. The area near the threads is making contact with the housing, not allowing full pressure on the filter seal.

Any depth issues with these?

My buddy had the same issue with purolator on his sx230. First time this has happened on my fx140

204's are 10mm shorter than 303

the 5GH-13440-00-00 OEM filters are hard to get a wrench on the port side in my 2004 LX2000/AR210 so im gonna switch to the 204-1's so I can use a box end wrench... ive been running KN 170 and 172's on my Harleys for years and have had 0 issues...

Ordered a wix 51358 and a 57002. The 51358 is on the cross reference chart for the oem filter. 57002 is more of a mazda skyactiv filter but seems to have the same specs. We have a mazda 3 so no big deal if it doesn't work out. The pl14612 works on the 3 and the 57002 cross references that.

The 51358 arrives today. Will get some baseplate measurements later. I'm pretty sure they changed the plate on the 14612, when they went to the blue color. I never had a problem with the gold colored filters. Even seeing a picture of an older gold 14610, the plate was concave toward the filter.

The 51358 will work just fine. I've used them many times in the past with no issues.

Here is the depth to baseplate on a used 14610. It's around 4mm with a slightly compressed (used) gasket. Waiting on the wix to measure the same.
