Update: I hooked the Roswell RCA Dual Zone controller to the front channel output and then ran splitters off the other ends of the Roswell to plug into the Front/Rear channels in both amps. Turned up the volume and it wasn't BAD, but wasn't near as clear as without it. I put a lot of money into the speakers and amps so that it would sound great so I'm not really willing to make that sacrifice and deal with it. Does anyone know what would be causing that sound quality to decrease with the splitters? I've googled away and I've read that the amount of signal loss through splitters would be so small you'd never notice it. I'd consider the Roswell splitter a high quality cable so i don't think that's the issue. the other RCA's I got at best buy, granted they were $8 each I don't see that being the issue either. Obviously I'm aware the Rockford HU will solve my problems, as well as the WS-420-SQ. I'd like to not have to cut another hole in the dash to mount a different sized HU.

Is it not as clear or not as loud..... two different things that I have heard mixed up before.

FYI, the Rockford isn't a headunit, its a DSP that mount by your amps. You can also switch to a 4-zone headunit and be done with it.
