My last camping outing my ex GF hit my captains chair with a folded camp chair and it cut the gray woven type fabric on the chair. I have an upholstery place that can replace the panel but they cannot find the fabric in what they carry. My dealer has been on the phone with Yamaha and they tell them the only way to get the fabric is to buy a new chair... which is over $700 and a no go for me. Does anyone here know someone who can help identify the fabric and help me obtain a piece. I only need a piece about 20" long by 10" wide for them to orient and cut the repair from. I have no problem buying a yard of it either. I do have all winter to get this repaired but I want to repair it as soon as possible either way. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure about the specifics, but @JetBoatPilot has mentioned that he carries some Yamaha OEM vinyl. They may carry what you need.

Thanks. Hopefully Will will chime in. I will call my marina to get a photo of the damaged piece. Here is a before photo and the damage is in the shoulder piece just left of the headrest.

A little harsh to make her your EX after damaging the boat...no I take that back; entirly appropriate!

Is this why she is an "ex" now? Man you are tough! You could also redo the whole chair with similar colors but nobody would notice.

She is an ex for a few other reasons but this just adds to it... LOL I think I will stay a single man and do the pay as you go routine... I think I would come out money ahead and a lot less stressed! LMAO

Here is a few pics of the damage I am trying to get repaired.

Can you not get a professional vinyl repair guy to fix, I've had worse repaired and its unnoticeable.

Nobody has mentioned a repair, I just assume they will have to replace the panel. How do they repair it? I am game for that if it is solid, I know this will not be the first unfortunately...

I don't think that can be repaired like traditional vinyl because of the woven texture pattern.

I would leave it alone. Sets a good example for the next girl. Lets her know she will also be history if she abuses your boat!:winkingthumbsup"
