It's good to know your wife's tolerance before doing this type of trip. My crew of 4 initially wanted to fly back after our crossing in 2016. Because you are so dependent on weather and wave conditions with our lake boats, this type of trip isn't for people who are looking for luxury transportation and a fixed itinerary. You really need to be open to the possibility that you'll have to move the departure/return dates around based on weather forecast.
 
I have updated the Preparing for Bimini Thread to try to answer all of the frequent questions and incorporate all of the experience gained in 2015 and 2016.
