NEED HELP! Stumped..,

So I don't have the same boat, but the mercury jetdrive was used in seadoos from 2000 to 2005ish? and I had a SeaDoo at that time, so I read a bit about them on the forums I was a member of at the time.
Visually follow the cable from your F-N-R lever to your jet drive, and try to gently move the gate into action. Watch out for any latches blocking/locking the gate in position, they may or may not be applicable depending on your gate design.

I had a 16’ euroline cyclone with a 175 hp Mercury sport jet. I also had a 20’ seadoo challenger with a 240 hp Mercury. As I recall the euroline had a single throttle/shift lever that either moved inward and outward on its mount or had a metal cap (about 1” in diameter) next to it the purpose of this was to effectively disengage the reverse bucket so that it would stay in the neutral position while you reved the engine. Find this and deactivate it and you should be good to go, that is the bucket should move up and down as the throttle is used.

Any thoughts where? By the throttle or on the back end?

It’s a little round knob near or in the throttle mechanism. Again all it does is keep the forward and reverse bucket from moving out of neutral, I presume it was there for hard starting purposes. My boat also had a choke, all I had to do was push the key in for a few seconds before or while I started the engine.

Got it! Thanks a lot, can I run this in the driveway? I did for about 10 second. She smoked like crazy

Like other jet boats it’s water cooled so I wouldn’t run it long unless you hook it up to a hose. If you are just checking to see if the bucket is engaged you shouldn’t need to run it at all, just move the throttle and take a look at where the bucket is, this is easier to do while the boat is on the trailer.
