Any AR195 owners, could you take a quick look in the engine compartment and see if you have cover over electrical components. I was just looking at my new boat (stored in garage for winter) and it looks like there should be a cover over the electrical stuff but I evidentially don't have one if so.

No there is not a cover there. They all look like that. Sorry for the dark image..

boat engine.JPG That is so strange, it has plastic risers, holes and all sorts of stuff on outside of it that makes no sense other than for mounting a cover. Well, I guess I feel better now...lol. Thanks

If you get water that high you have bigger issues to worry with lol. If wanting to hose down the engine to clean I would just try and avoid spraying in that area. I agree it could use a cover to dress things up a little but apparently there's no issue with it being sort of exposed like it is. My guess is the connections are potted as is the inside of the electrical boxes.

I'm not seeing a cover on the Yamaha OEM part site.upload_2017-3-8_10-12-54.png

As I was doing the inspection before I took delivery of my SX192, I mentioned to the dealer that the electronics cover was missing. He assured me that there wasn't a cover. With the tabs and holes, it sure looks like it was meant to have a cover though.

Since they use the same power plant in their PWC's, is it possible they have a cover?

Bingo Part # 3 Cover = $52.75 on Yamahasportsplaza.com

They probably did it for the wave runners since water is far more likely to get in there with a PWC than in a boat with enclosed engine hatch. Nice to know a cover is available as it would certainly dress it up back there.

Interesting, may be worth buying a cover. Definitely cleans it up, don't expect water back there but it is a boat....lol

Gotta wonder if there is room for it given how close it is to top of the engine cover...

Someone be the Guinea pig and buy one lol. I want to know if it will fit too.

If someone orders it first, I will like your post to help your rating...LOL. Seriously though, would be nice to know if it fits. Would really clean up compartment and add a little extra coverage over electronics.
