Solas are popular aftermarket (I have never had them). We did have a member do much testing on impellers, repitching, etc. He found that overall, for a balance of the hole shot, top speed, etc., the OEM impellers were pretty hard to beat.
So, basically, I don't think you can go wrong either way. Much of the decision will depend on your use profile, though (wakeboarding, wake surfing, just towing a tube, cruising and floating, etc.).

Best I have read. The 6CW (partial part number) OEM Yamaha impellers are the best performing, striking the best balance between NOT cavitating, and top speed. I think these came stock on the SX/AR 190's if I remember right. I know several of the "surf guys" on here have moved to those on the 242's with great success.
