JL released their “new” M6 series at the Miami boat show last week. Basically a cool cosmetic refresh along with behind the cone rgb translucent rgb lighting. I like the new style and lighting. Theses are replacing the M series and rumor has it the mx series will be getting a refrah before the end of the year as well.

That said when I called Odin at earmarkcaraudio he is clearing out his new in box old stock of the M series to make room for the m6. He offered such a great deal on a m880 tower package that I did not go with the new style m6 series. I asked and he gave me the ok to post about this clearance deal and he said would have a shipment of the new m6 series at his shop very soon.

If you were on the fence about adding matching speakers to your m or mx equipped boat now is the time to do it for a great deal and before they are gone.

Also chatted about rgb noise with Odin. He said that cheap rgb controllers on the same power source (battery bank) as the head unit amd amp are prone to this due to poor components. Isolating the controler or powering the rgbs with just ground and single color with no dimmer will help with this if a problem. He also only uses shielded av or security wire in his rgb installs.

I did not recieve any compensation of any kind for this post. I do have an affinity for great quality (JL is the top of the heap in audio) and great customer service (Odin knows his stuff and takes care of the folks on this forum so we should return the favor).

@Earmark Marine

I like the new JL Audio design and the LED backlighting of the cone is a really clean way to upgrade sight and sound together if you want to ditch the factory speakers. I also like the head units they have (MediaMaster MM-100 and MM-50). I am not sure if they are new; but sharp design. I am running a JL Sub (8" IB) with Polks. Many felt the 8" would disappoint; but it has been surprisingly perfect for my needs and my wallet.

Those new speakers are slick looking, I could see them being really popular. Maybe Earmark wants to cut me a deal on some of that old junk :)

Just got my MX's!

@Earmark Marine

Damn it, lol! I just finished a full MX650 x 6, 10" IB, and M800 amp install recently and was trying to hold off on spending more money on audio upgrades this year. But, I'd like to have a matching set of towers and I'm guessing they'd be sold out everywhere this year by the time I would "want" to spend the money on them. Email sent to @Earmark Marine about a possible great deal as well =)
