Hey Everyone,
I already enjoy this forum and used it alot over the past month as we decided which boat to purchase. We went with a 2012 Sea Doo 230 Wake. On Saturday we took it down the Ashley River and all the way out to Fort Sumter. On Sunday we dropped in at Remley's Point and headed up the Cooper. It has been great so far but went through a lot of gas on Saturday. We did a little tubing but mostly enjoyed jumping off the back while anchored.

:Welcome:

Just to the right of Fort Sumter is Cable Beach (also known as MILF Beach to some) - very shallow for the last 1,000 feet but it is a great place to pull up and spend the day. We either go there or to Capers. While nice, Capers is a longer run and you have to fight the tides all day with the inlet current. Bring food and a tent, make a day of it.

You'll like the jet boat vs an outboard when you go to pay your property tax. They only tax the boat and not the motors as they are one. With an outboard, you pay annual taxes on each. That is exactly why I bought what I have - got it with 7.6 hours on it nearly 5 years old. [flag]

I live just off the weapons station and we put in at our neighborhood boat ramp, we go down to the Cooper and then downriver to the harbor.

The jets are a lot of things but fuel efficeint is not really one of their calling cards. My neighbo has a 21 SeaDoo and uses it often but says it has a smallish tank. Mine has a 55 gallon tank but I have to fill it after every outing - fun ain't cheap.
