Hi from Annapolis!!
My husband and I just purchased our first boat! It's gorgeous and roomie and has that fancy vibe going on with it! We love it!

We've been out on it a few times so far and now I have questions.

- Fenders- the ones we got with the boat are no bueno. Which ones do you use?

- cleaner for the seats, and interior of the boat. What isn't going to leave a greasy finish and actually clean ?

-knee boarding/wake boarding- what length tow rope are you using with this boat? And are you attaching it to the stern or did you install something on the tower for towing?

- are you adding Salt Away every time you flush out the engines? Or is that just a preference thing?

- Thrust Vector XL's.. have you installed these and do they really make THAT big of a difference in maneuvering?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions, but I'm SO glad I was told about this group! ?MVIMG_20200521_190458.jpg

Welcome.

Que bonito!
I love the color combo. Kudos to you

I ride in salt since I live in South Florida and have heard good things with Salt Away.

I use dishwasher soap. Pour some down the flush connector and watch the bubbles clean ports. It has worked great for me for years
For good cleaning but may need to be diluted in Purple Powder. Bring back the white.

Welcome, and congrats on the purchase!

Salt away works and it will help avoid a lot of problems down the road if you use it regularly. You can get some 8” fenders with lines for about $65 on eBay. I use 303 cleaner then 303 protector works good and doesn’t leave any greasy feeling. My buddy lives off the Rhode River in Mayo south of Annapolis, I love it out there on the water when I go visit him. Also welcome to the forum.
i have cobra jet magnum ak fins with fangs and find them helpful. I just put on trim tabs and they make a huge difference in the chop. It’s definitely a mod you might want to look into I know it gets choppy there.

Hey welcome to the group! We just took our boat out for the first time yesterday on the Pax river down by Solomon’s.
-We have the hull hugger fenders and they worked fine for us. I had bought an extra set of them before we went out.
- I haven’t looked into the salt away yet we just followed what the manual said and ran hose water through it then jockeyed it around for another 15 seconds to get it all dried out.
-as far as cleaning goes I ordered just about everything I could find online and figured I would go trial and error and just see what we like best
-I’m looking into the steering upgrades now I’m leaning toward cobra jet based of all the good stuff I here ppl saying about them on here
-and we just got wake board, wake board rope, wake surf board and rope all off evo.com they have a lot of good stuff on there and a sale goin on now for Memorial Day weekend. A35A002A-316D-44F0-87A3-8E8136646CCA.jpeg

I agree with the 8” x 27” fenders. I got mine on amazon.

Someone posted this not long ago for your tower. It would require drilling a hole through a tube. I’d want to verify it will fit before you do it.

Also, check out “hot sauce” and “vinyl sauce” for cleaners.

I ordered those and boat juice from amazon. Have you tried the boat juice ones yet or do you stick with the boat bling brand?

We are using 303 protectant on the seats at the beginning of the season. And then just boat bling hot/vinyl sauce throughout the year. So far so good... but the boat is only 9 months old. Can’t really speak to longevity yet. ?

Congratulations you have the top model check out sentry fenders a lot of good reviews . More pictures especially of how the rear water seats work you will make unforgettable memories enjoy it .

Welcome @AnnapolisCatt glad to have you! It's great to see members with the new 275 show up too, what a awesome boat!

Most of us have found it strange it doesn't come with a tow point on the tower... I've seen discussion on it be I've not seen the solution... it's something I'd discuss with my dealer if I were in the market. The link @BigAbe75 gave looks like a viable option. The stern tow point is awfully low on the 275 and linear to the surface of the water. Makes me wonder if it would cause the rope to be dragged thru the wake? That would be my only concern. Towing from the tower is preferable for most board sports. If you're pulling tubes, I'd recommend the tower tow point and consider the a booster ball tho keep the rope free from interference with the wake.

As for the ropes themselves, I'd recommend a a sectional rope. When wakeboarding, I shorten the length so it puts me just past the jetwash, I find ut just right for hitting the peak of the wake and narrow enough I can clear wake-to-wake.

The wide angle view of the gopro make it look farther out than it would appear otherwise.

I'm actually a watersports dealer. We carry, Slingshot, O'Brien, JetPiolt, Body Glove, and just picked up Airhead. My products are always "on sale" for members here regardless of holidays. Just message me what you're interested in and I'll give you my best price via discount code. I've got more O'Brien wakeboards on the way in (hopefully next week. They keep getting delayed) and access to way more than we have listed on our site... feel free to message anytime. For wake ropes, I like recommend the O'Brien floating rope for beginner- intermediate riders. It'll stay visible on the surface to help you from sucking it up. For myself I prefer a good no stretch wake rope. Airhead has some great options there we have access to. Here's our roll-outs page.

:Welcome: to the forum!!! Love that picture. Makes it look bad ass. Can't speak highly enough about the Cobras; very strong and provides better steering control at low speeds. 303 works great. I have never used Salt-away or any other cleaning product for engines but sure it does not hurt.

Seriously need to give us a million photos when out onthe water!

Welcome aboard. You've arrived at the right place.

You have a beautiful boat! Make sure to post pix as you learn and enjoy her.

I've had best luck with the rounded, elongated cylinder type fenders like those shown here Boat Fenders and Buoys | Polyform U.S. as F-series and G-series. To eliminate rub marks on your hull, consider getting fender covers or "socks" like these: Boat Fenders - Polyform US Normally, these covers have similar feel to terry cloth.

Actually, my preferred brand has been Taylor Made: Storm Gard | Taylor Made Neither Taylor Made nor Polyform are the cheapest, but they work as advertised and last a long time. And even the most expensive fenders are far cheaper than hull damage.

Note about fenders: They don't work if you don't use them. I see people on the water that have fenders and either don't use always use them or they don't deploy enough of them in less-than-ideal conditions. Make sure to use them!

Good luck with the new boat! You and your husband are going to love it!
