We decided over the weekend to upgrade & trade in our 30 Ft travel trailer on a new 2017 35Ft Rockwood Windjammer, picking it up tomorrow. This trailer has a large living room slide out and a large bedroom slide out, so large that the bedroom has a king sized bed and a walk in closet that goes into the V-Nose. We are going to keep the Travel Trailer & our Yamaha SX230 HO at an RV Resort in Lake Havasu May 2017 through September 2017. They have a package for $ 150.00 per month that you can keep your RV & Boat there, then just pay $ 20.00 a night when we stay, this is going to save us a fortune on hotel rooms as we live 3 1/2 hours away. So we can hop in the truck, drive to Lake Havasu, do some grocery shopping when we get in town, unload our stuff in the trailer, and were in business with lake views from the RV Park. The launch ramp is only 1/4 mile away from the RV Resort, this is going to be awesome!!!

Sounds like a plan....I have looked at that exact trailer. That is a beautiful trailer! I was, at one time....thinking about buying one, but have since put it on hold. But this one was one of my favorites....that bedroom, with the slideout the way it is arranged, is HUGE!

I read this forum just to be entertained by @veedubtek and your next purchases. Congrats on the new trailer. It's super nice! You'll have to post some pics of the interior with the slide outs open.

Of course I have seen King size beds in FWs but did not know they made them in the nose of a TT. That is awesome. What does that apartment on wheels weigh? It it enough that you have to get a new TV as well and the boss does not know it yet? That would be a shame:winkingthumbsup"

We really like it as well, the bedroom was a selling point being HUGE, also tons of storage, large pantry, etc.

Thanks, I will post some interior pictures after I pick it up tomorrow. We are going to take it out for three nights weekend after next to celebrate my birthday, so it will be it's maiden voyage.

It weighs 7561 Lb's dry, we looked at 5th wheels but the bedrooms leave a lot to be desired, seem a lot smaller. No new tow vehicle needed, we bought (2) new 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD's with the Duramax Diesels in them a few months ago, so we are good to go :winkingthumbsup"

Very nice!
150$ a month?!! Is that stored at the park and moved to a site when you are coming?

I want a monthly site to put my Tarvel trailer next year, most around here are ~$400 a month on the site at all times.

Nope the trailer stays in a RV Site hooked up and ready to go, don't have to move it or my boat, it's an 80Ft long spot. We pay $ 20.00 per night when we actually stay in the travel trailer. Here is the RV Park, called Campbell Cove RV Resort.

We actually are doing the same thing next year! Different part of the country of course. Super exciting for you and the wife!

That's awesome!

One summer in Kansas (before boat) I had my camper on a super nice spot on the lake in a state park, left it there for 3 months, the site was about 1/2 acre, it was so nice going there on the weekends with the A/C already going and most food already there and everything! I need to get on it and find a place around here for next summer.

Why would you have to pay 20$ every night you stay?

It's a Boaters Rate they offer from April 15th to October 15th, Lake Havasu gets Hot in the Summer, like 115 degrees, so RV Parks there do not stay full in the Summer like they do in the Winter with the Snowbirds who come to Arizona.

The $ 150.00 covers keeping your RV & Boat in a space per month, since you are not actively living there all month, they charge the $ 20.00 per night. Other RV Parks will charge $ 400.00 to $ 500.00 per month whether you use it or not, so we thought this is perfect for us as we would only go on weekends. If we do six nights a month (two long weekends) we are only paying $ 270.00 total + any electricity we use while we are camping. We normally would spend $ 700.00 to $ 800.00 staying at the Hampton Inn at Lake Havasu for six nights.

Full length of the trailer is 36' 9" box is 32' 6". It is a light weight series so only 7500 pounds.

We still need to find the right spot and decide on a lake but that will come in due time.

If we could find a situation like you are doing that would be great! We would pull our Yamaha back but I would love to leave the fishing boat on a site with the camper.

 I'll have a new boat pic for ya by the weekend ;)

Congrats on the TT. That looks killer. I'm already thinking about upgrading ours.

That's a great looking trailer @AZDANSX230HO ! Those V nose campers always catch my interest when I see them. To be able to have a king bed in a bumper pull camper is a rare treat. Most people get 5th wheel campers because they find the master bedroom is so much larger then in a bumper pull. Our 5th wheel is a little unique with it's floorplan in that it's flipped. Our master is in the rear and the bunkroom for the kids is in the front over the hitch. They even have a 1\2 bath up there with them. The full bath is between our bedroom and the kitchen. The advantage of the master in the rear is the higher ceiling which in turn allows the proper height for a ceiling fan. We also have a ceiling fan in the living room. The only 2 things that I wish were different are, a king bed in the master and a built in generator.

Looking at the picture I thought it was pretty long, how does your F-150 do towing it? We have a diesel so it tows just about anything we have very well, we used to have a Toyota Tundra when we bought our 30Ft trailer, it towed it fine but the gas mileage was horrendous to say the least, and the stability of towing with a 3/4 ton was night and day difference especially in windy conditions.

Thanks, what kind of boat are you getting????

All of the 5th wheels we looked at had the bedroom over the hitch which left the bedrooms to be small, or maybe it was the headroom from the bed to the ceiling that we did not like. Never saw one with a bedroom in the rear, that would make a lot more sense as far as room goes. I do hear 5th wheels are much nicer to tow than bumper pulls, but ours seems to be fine with the sway controller on the weight distribution hitch setup. We have a EF6300 iSDE Yamaha Inverter Generator, but that puppy is heavy to try to load in the back of the truck, so we typically stay in RV Parks with full hook ups.
