Our 2014 Ram 1500 doesn’t have a back-up camera and i’ve come up with an easy way around the issue when hooking up the truck to the trailer. I use my iPhone attached to a suction mount on my trailer and my Apple Watch to view the image as i back in.

That’s pretty smart...

Great idea! Now I need a magnetic mount for my Note 9! (Galaxy Watch.)

nw that is very creative

@Nakk i originally was looking for a magnetic one as well but the suction cup works great. It was $19.99 at best buy and I had a $20 reward certificate to use. As long as you have a bendable neck you're set!

@Nakk holy crap! I grew up in camas!! Go papermakers!!

I suppose the same could be achieved with any Bluetooth camera? Like a GoPro or similar?

I ahd this problem with our last boat. No idea if it will work with a Yamaha though.

The bowstop on our Rinker was pretty high. I just stuck a large 7-8in convex mirror on there with 3M Tape. I could watch the ball in the rear view mirror on our Yukon pretty well, and that usually got us close enough to get it done.

I've used a GoPro in the past for this sort of thing with the WiFi on and the app up. a word of warning though....THERE IS A DELAY.....so don't come in to something too hot or you'll bonk it before the video updates......Luckily for me it was just an R/C car into my wifes leg, but she still wasn't very pleased with me :D

@Dixie Highway. Yes..exactly. I went this route because I always have them on me. Nothing to forget or charge

So...let me see if I got this straight. You watch your watch relegated to your right wrist while wrangling your boat into the drink. What happens if you get an important call from a telemarketer? Doesn't the phone switch to the phone screen?

By telemarketer, he really means the person that wants to speak to you concerning your cars extended warranty expiring.

@Gym no drink!...just at the boat storage! Funny tho.. @VaMarine i usually tell the telemarketing idiot that car was involved in a crash where my entire family was killed. That usually shuts them up pretty much. I deserve an Oscar or Emmy (i don’t know where a car performance lands) at the tears and emotion i can muster up.

You're looking at this all wrong--this is clearly an opportunity to upgrade something for the boat. In this case, it's the tow vehicle. My recommendation is an F150, my reverse camera even has zoom to get a closer view. And the best part? Pro trailer assist!

Never heard this before, but know exactly what you're talking about. Hilarious!
I have an akaso 4k, which is almost identical to a go pro....i.e. my faux pro. LOL!
