Our annual air show, one of the more popular (even for locals) tourist events in town, was last weekend and we took the LS2000 down to a on the bay restaurant, docked sat on the sun deck and swim platform and watched the action. We were on the bay side ... the better viewing is from the ocean but our Yamaha is a bit too small for that. We go every year but this is the first year the Blue Angels were featured. I took a lot of useless pictures and even more useless video of very small objects moving very fast. Here is the best of the lot...sorry :(.

We still had a great time and it is just another way the boat adds to the enjoyment of life at the beach.

Fish tails huh? Was it crowded? Looks like you got a good spot against the bulkhead.

@RobA Yep it was Fish Tales and no it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant and bar was probably only half full. When we arrived the slips were full (I think they only have 8 or so dedicated slips) and we were second in line but we loitered in the lagoon area by the fuel dock (good low speed maneuvering practice) and a slip opened up fairly soon. I'm guessing the restaurant was on the slow side because from that area there was no air show viewing at all ... from the boat is was better but not great. Truthfully we could have gone to a friends ocean front condo on 20th street and had a perfect view but that would mean skipping the boat. It was nice to lay around catch the air show then grab dinner before the restaurant filled up with the after the air show crowd.
